On Friday 12/5 the SAM 100 guys flew after a rare entire day of rain. We flew at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Field where we have a designated area for Old Timers and Gliders. Other areas in the park are designated for Helis, Jets ARFs and FF. We have our own gate cards from the city, of course we don't fly when soccer and other events are going on, so it is usually week days before noon. Also the entire month of September and October the park is closed for the Balloon Fiesta, so we fly elsewhere. Friday we flew RC LER, Speed 400 and 36inch Replica. Those attending were Vic Newton, Steve Moskal, Richard Dick, Bob Dubois, Terry Tombaugh, Rocky Stone and myself. It was great to see Steve out as he had a full knee replacement just a month ago. At one time Terry Tombaugh and myself ROG'd two full size Dallaire Sportsters in formation, and somehow after 10 minutes landed within 20 seconds of each other. Other planes flown:
Super Sniffer
Jr. Playboy
Lanzo Bomber 72"
Cabin Playboy
50% Miss America
52" Speed 400 Lanzo Airborne
36 " Replica Tomboy
Micro UMX Radian motor glider (Steve's easy therapy)
